About the Role

Due to continued expansion and a recent investment in expanding our premises, we are looking to recruit a highly experienced Health and Safety Officer who will work with the management teams as we grow, to ensure the highest standards are maintained and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and Investigate incidents, accidents, complaints, first aid arrangements and cases of ill health that may affect staff safety
  • Undertake risk assessments and site inspections (ie; manual handling, COSHH)
  • Ensure equipment is installed in a safe and correct manner
  • Identify and deal with potential hazards including reporting procedures
  • Look at ways to reduce risks and implement
  • Review and keep health and safety policies up to date
  • Health and safety reporting
  • Head health and safety meetings with internal staff
  • Establish a health and safety training programme
  • Train staff where necessary
  • Ensure training is documented and updated when necessary
  • Liaise with relevant authorities
  • Ensure compliant in line with current health and safety regulations
  • Ensure that all rules and regulations are adhered to
  • Record all health and safety inspections and audits
  • Ensure regular check and drills (ie; fire) are carried out
  • Implement daily checks for machinery and process

Essential Criteria

  • 3 Years recent experience in a similar role
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Experience in handling H&S investigations
  • COSHH trained (although not essential)
